Mindy serves as the Dean of Macalester’s Career Development Center, overseeing the strategy and vision for the CDC and co-leading the Olin-Rice “Hub”, a partnership between Student and Academic Affairs. Prior to joining Macalester, Mindy served as the Director of the Undergraduate Business Career Center at the University of Minnesota’s Carlson School of Management. She has worked in higher education for 15 years in both career development and recruitment and admissions, and has taught courses in career skills and business communications. Prior to working in higher education, she worked in various human resources roles, both in the private and public sector. She holds a Master’s degree in Human Resources and Industrial Relations from the University of Minnesota. In 2013, Mindy was named as one of Minneapolis/St. Paul Business Journal’s 40 Under 40. Mindy was born and raised in a small town in North Dakota and worked full-time while attending college, and loves connecting with first generation and rural students.

Embarrassing on-the-job moment:
When I had to wear my Disney Store uniform (including a Mickey Mouse letterman sweater) while riding the city bus to work every day.
