Sam Wegner

Sam comes to the CEC with five years of experience in a wide range of community-based projects, having worked in youth enrichment programs, direct social service, habitat restoration teams, and in environmental justice groups. As a lifelong Metro Transit rider, and having lived in both Minneapolis and St. Paul, Sam is eager to share his love for the Twin Cities with the Macalester community. In addition to managing the Lives of Commitment program, Sam supports the sophomore cohort of Bonner Scholars and works with the Youth & Tutoring and Environment & Sustainability Issue Area Organizers to connect students with community organizations across the metro.

In his free time, you can catch Sam wandering through a museum, buying more books than can fit in his apartment, looking for birds, or playing with his two cats!
