It is the first thing the students, faculty, and staff who read Mac Daily see when they open the issue.<\/p>\n    \t        \t<p class=\"introduction__copy\">Photos of the Day are intended to showcase Macalester\u2019s mission and values in action. We are eager to see how you do so! Here are some things to keep in mind when you submit a picture and answers to questions we often receive.<\/p>\n    \t    <\/div>\n<\/section>\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n<section class=\"callout-resource block-container callout-resource--inner\" >\n    <div class=\"callout-resource__inner\">\n        <div class=\"callout-resource__lockup-column\">\n            <div class=\"callout-resource__lockup\">\n                <div class=\"base-lockup\">\n\t\t    \t\t    \t\t\t<h2 class=\"base-lockup__heading\">How can I submit a picture?<\/h2>\n\t\t    \t\t    \t\t\t<p class=\"base-lockup__copy\"><p>Email <a href=\"mailto:communications@macalester.edu\">communications@macalester.edu<\/a>.<\/p><p>Please include a <strong>caption (100 words or fewer) <\/strong> and attach the photo to your email as a <strong>.jpg file<\/strong>. Please do not submit photos using the Mac Daily submission form. Submitted by Megan Vossler.<\/span>\n\t\t\t<div class=\"swiper-caption-spacer\"><\/div>\n\t\t    <\/div>\n\t\t    \t\t<\/div>\n            <\/div>\n\t    <\/swiper-gallery>\n<\/section>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">What Kinds of Photos Won\u2019t You Run?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Most pictures that do not show at least one Macalester community member (students, faculty, staff, alumni)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Content that could violate the Student or Employee Handbooks, public health guidelines, or other laws<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Photos that are blurry, too small, or vertical (photos should be at least 900px wide)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Pictures that are not consistent with the college\u2019s mission and values<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Multiple photos from the same event<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Collages &#8212; readers are not able to clearly see individual photos in a collage. Reach out to <a href=\"mailto:communications@macalester.edu\">communications@macalester.edu<\/a> if you think a collage is the only way to present your submission.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">How Can I Ensure My Photo Is Suitable for Photo of the Day?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Include the faces of the Macalester community members pictured.<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Send a full-resolution copy of a clear photo.<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Make sure all people in your picture have given permission for you to submit the photo.<\/strong> We trust that you have received appropriate permissions to share your picture. You do not need to send proof of permission with your submission.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Please submit one photo per event.<\/strong> With rare exceptions, we are not able to run photos from a single event in multiple issues.&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Ensure everyone in your picture is over the age of 18.<\/strong> We can make exceptions for children of Macalester community members.
