His second collection,<i>\u00a0Burning Province\u00a0<\/i>(McClelland &amp; Stewart\/Penguin Random House, 2020), won the Canada-Japan Literary Award, the BC &amp; Yukon Book Prizes\u2019 Poetry Prize, and the Freund Prize. He is the recent recipient of fellowships from the New York Public Library\u2019s Cullman Center, the Jerome Foundation, and the Amy Clampitt Residency. His poems have appeared in\u00a0<i>The New Republic<\/i>,<i>\u00a0The Nation<\/i>,\u00a0<i>Poetry<\/i>,\u00a0<i>The Kenyon Review<\/i>,\u00a0<i>Sewanee Review<\/i>, and the Academy of American Poets\u2019\u00a0<i>Poem-A-Day series<\/i>. He has been the writer-in-residence at Wichita State University, North Carolina State University, and The Blake School.
