MacStartups brings students’ ideas into action.
MacStartups is an incubator program designed for students who are self-driven and actively want to make change. We encourage creativity, failure, and resiliency, knowing that not all ideas will work, but the process of trying will lead to innovation and deep experiential learning. Working individually or in teams of 2-3 members over 10-weeks during the summer of 2019, participants will tackle a problem they’re passionate about solving, assisted in their efforts by local experienced entrepreneurs. Each team will be paired with a mentor who has expertise relevant to their project. Students will engage with the innovator community in the Twin Cities by attending meetings, through hosting events and workshops on campus. Participants are expected to develop the courage to take risks, learn methodologies, work collaboratively with a cohort of fellow Mac students, and integrate with the vibrant MSP innovator community.
