5.  Job Opportunity with Resilient Sisterhood Project

The Resilient Sisterhood Project (RSP) has an opening for a Environmental Justice and Reproductive Health Manager.  RSP’s mission is to educate and empower women of African descent regarding common yet rarely discussed diseases of the reproductive system that disproportionately affect them. They approach these diseases and associated issues through a cultural and social justice lens—as they believe that poor knowledge of reproductive health is primarily related to health, racial, and socioeconomic disparities.

This 40-hour-per-week hybrid position will expand on RSP’s work on Black women’s reproductive health and the intersections of environmental justice. The Health Manager will have strong knowledge of environmental science, environmental racism, and reproductive health. Some of the key components of this position include, but are not limited to, designing programs and research, collecting data, engaging with community partners, developing curricula, leading workshops and trainings, taking media requests, and representing the organization at key meetings and community events. This position reports to the Executive Director.

To apply, send a resume and cover letter to Katie Durant at: [email protected], with the subject line “Environmental Justice and Reproductive Health Manager.” In your cover letter please specifically address why you are interested in this position, what you find compelling about their work, and why your skills are a match. No phone calls please. Position open until filled.
