The FAFSA must be completed no later than the end of the student&#8217;s enrollment period.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Complete additional steps if the FAFSA is <a href=\"https:\/\/www.macalester.edu\/financial-aid\/apply\/verification\/\">selected for verification<\/a>.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p>Applicants for Federal Student Aid will be considered for the following types of financial aid:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Federal Pell Grant<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Federal Supplemental Educational Opportunity Grant (SEOG)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Minnesota State Grant (Minnesota residents only)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Federal Direct Loan<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Federal Direct PLUS Loan (parents of dependent students may apply for this loan)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>To be considered for financial aid from Macalester, additional steps may be required. <strong>Students who believe they will need assistance to finance their educational expenses are strongly encouraged to complete <a href=\"https:\/\/www.macalester.edu\/financial-aid\/apply\/\">Macalester&#8217;s financial aid application process<\/a>.<\/strong><\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Federal &amp; State Aid Only Students who wish to apply only for Federal Student Aid (and, for Minnesota residents, state financial aid) should: Applicants for Federal Student Aid will be considered for the following types of financial aid: To be considered for financial aid from Macalester, additional steps may be required.
