The 2026-2027 FAFSA uses 2024 income information. We ask students to complete their FAFSA by May 15 in order to receive their 2026-2027 financial aid eligibility notification by mid-June. Please note that we do not require students to complete the CSS Profile again.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Submit Additional Documents: January-May<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Some FAFSAs are selected for a <strong>verification<\/strong> process by the Department of Education. If your FAFSA is selected for verification, you will need to submit additional documents to the Financial Aid Office before we can review your FAFSA and determine your eligibility for aid.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.macalester.edu\/financial-aid\/apply\/verification\/\">More information about verification and how we will notify you of additional required documents.<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If your family has had a <strong>change in financial circumstances<\/strong> from last year, you can submit additional documents to us so we can determine whether your circumstances affect your eligibility for aid.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"\/financial-aid\/reconsideration\">More information about changing financial circumstances.<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If you have a <strong>sibling who will also be enrolled<\/strong> as an undergraduate student for the 2026-2027 academic year, please complete the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.macalester.edu\/financial-aid\/forms\/\">Household and Sibling Enrollment Form<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Review and Accept Your Aid: June<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>If you complete your financial aid application by mid-May, you will receive next year&#8217;s financial aid eligibility notification by mid-June. If you complete your financial aid application after mid-May, we will review and send a response as soon as possible after receipt. Aid applications received after mid-May will still receive full consideration.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>When you receive your financial aid eligibility notification, review it carefully in order to understand the aid that you have been awarded. Descriptions of different types of aid are available in our&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.macalester.edu\/financial-aid\/about\/\">About section<\/a>.
