Despite its recent inception, the American Moot Court Association (AMCA) has already ranked Macalester as a top 25 program&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.amcamootcourt.org\/rankings?ss_source=sscampaigns&amp;ss_campaign_id=68964b4c1fc9211d3ae6aa3b&amp;ss_email_id=68964b960aaaf64253d4aba9&amp;ss_campaign_name=2024-2025+Rankings+Now+Posted&amp;ss_campaign_sent_date=2025-08-08T19%3A10%3A34Z\">in the nation<\/a>&nbsp;\u2013 23rd overall, and 13th in oral advocacy. In moot court, students prepare mock appellate oral arguments and legal briefs on a year-long case problem, simulating the Supreme Court.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>MISSION STATEMENT: <\/strong>Macalester Moot Court is dedicated to providing a safe space to discuss and digest difficult, current events. While Moot Court requires participants to argue both sides whether or not a student agrees with it, this exercise is meant to strengthen and prepare students\u2019 argumentative skills for when their own beliefs are challenged.
