Inspired by the Northern Spark Nuit Blanche, a dusk-to-dawn festival of art and performance occurring throughout the Twin Cities on the night of June 4-5, the Macalester College Law Warschaw Gallery and the Media and Cultural Studies Department will display New Media art works by recent alumni/ae, Professor John Kim and Professor Ruthann Godollei in conjunction with the 2011 Macalester Reunion.

Media and Cultural Studies Professor John Kim will offer a public talk about the media art works displayed on campus during Re- union weekend, the exhibition’s connection to Northern Spark, and the place of media at Macalester.

Music Performance

Saturday, June 4. Room 241 Olin-Rice. 4:15 p.m. (approximately). Following Professor Kim’s talk, Chris Marianetti ‘03 will perform one of his animated music scores for piano.
