Therefore, the site offers the opportunity to work in collaboration with other providers including nurse practitioners, physicians, psychologists, social workers, professional counselors, psychiatrists, and health educators. Students will provide individual short-term mental health counseling, referral, and crisis intervention for 15-20 hours per week during the academic calendar starting late August and ending early May with break between semesters during J term, Students must be available Tuesday mornings to attend counseling staff meetings (currently done virtually) and Wednesday mornings for case consultations done in person. Students may also have an opportunity to work collaboratively with other student affairs departments in the provision of workshops or support groups. Supervision is provided by an on site doctoral-level licensed psychologist. We strive to bring in two practicum students a year. There is a small stipend available for $500 per semester for two semesters.

Don DeBoer (deboer@macalester.edu) leads the selection process and provides supervision.
