In a coercive environment, consent cannot be freely given. Hazing can involve intimidation, harassment, and\/or violence; can be visual, verbal, and\/or physical, and may result in physical, emotional, and\/or psychological harm. <br><br>Macalester College also follows <a href=\"https:\/\/www.revisor.mn.gov\/statutes\/cite\/135A.155\">135A.155 MN Statute on Hazing<\/a>. <br><br>To report an alleged hazing incident, as described above, you may reach out to the Dean of Students office at deanofstudents@macalester.edu, or you may submit a <a href=\"https:\/\/cm.maxient.com\/reportingform.php?MacalesterCollege&amp;layout_id=11\">Hazing Incident Reporting Form<\/a>. <br><br>Incidents reported will be investigated through the student conduct process listed in the <a href=\"https:\/\/docs.google.com\/document\/d\/1qha1tNxyshdw9k2zXpbFA_GtGSJ1_wqkATwX5uBiBAg\/edit?tab=t.0\">Student Handbook<\/a>.<br><br>Comprehensive education about hazing is available, by request, to all students, staff, and faculty, through the <a href=\"https:\/\/docs.google.com\/forms\/d\/e\/1FAIpQLScI9qvt1H-jmVv8UYSczFFZe9wijcCYllYR1Dxmbduv6n23dg\/viewform\">Health Promotion workshop\/training request form<\/a>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><a href=\"https:\/\/drive.google.com\/file\/d\/13fNTtTIj898mYfqsAMzTT1TDni6y-R7R\/view?usp=sharing\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.macalester.edu\/health-and-well-being\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/310\/2026\/06\/2026-CampusHazingReportSummary.jpg\" alt=\"\" style=\"aspect-ratio:3\/2;object-fit:cover\" \/><\/a><\/figure>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Hazing at Macalester College involves any activity in a group context expected of a student joining or participating in that humiliates, degrades, abuses, or endangers them, regardless of that student\u2019s willingness to participate.
