We provide a variety of counseling services to best meet the mental health needs of our students. Students can schedule individual appointments with the Macalester counseling staff,  join one of our on-campus counseling groups, meet with a provider regarding medication, or access 24/hour phone counseling.

Medical Services

Primary care services are provided for full-time registered students by a physician, nurse practitioners, a registered nurse, and a medical assistant.

Health Promotion

A certified health educator assisted by student health promotion assistants, leads the health promotion initiatives for the campus.

Insurance & Billing

The Laurie Hamre Center for Health & Wellness oversees the health insurance enrollment for Macalester. All Macalester students are required to have health insurance—either their own or the plan offered by Macalester.
