Understanding Yourself from the Inside Out: Emotional Intelligence Skills Group

An introspective group focused on increasing personal emotional intelligence. Explore your own relationship to emotions while learning daily life skills related to awareness, regulation, motivation, and empathy. Led by Kendra Snyder.

Healthy Communication Series

Survivors Stronger Together: Sexual Violence Support Group

A confidential support group focused on healing and coping with sexual violence. For Macalester students, of all identities, seeking support due to their experience of sexual violence. Led by Liz Schneider-Bateman and Jan Beebe.

Coping With Anxiety: Essential Anxiety Management Skills

A 4-session skill-building group designed to help students reduce their anxiety. Participants will better understand anxiety and practice anxiety management tools like breathing and meditation, cognitive and emotional self-awareness, and lifestyle choices. Led by Mia Nosanow.

Grief & Loss Support

This group is for students grieving the loss of a loved one, sibling, parent, relative, or close friend. Participants can process and heal in an atmosphere of understanding, community, and mutual support. Facilitated by Off-Campus therapist Analisa Jayasekera; sponsored by Hamre Center for Health and Wellness.

Cultivating Calm: Koru Mindfulness and Meditation

A 4-session evidence-based group designed specifically for college students.  Learn mindfulness and meditation that helps students stay calmer under stress, become more mindful, gain better sleep and increase self-compassion.  Led by Mia Nosanow and Maren Starzinski.
