October Well-Being Wednesday - College Eating: How Fuel can make all the difference
The Fall Semester 2017 Well-Being Wednesdays is a monthly lunch series offering a casual atmosphere to learn and ask questions about health topics relevant to campus life. College Eating is the topic for Wednesday, October 18 from noon - 12:50 with catered lunch served to those who RSVP beginning at 11:45 am. Registration coming soon.
What you put in, is generally what you get out! In the case of eating our choices can lead to great performance or hold us back (it's all in the biochemistry). Even with good intentions, college-life can bring: time, accessibility, stress and budget crunches that can make eating well challenging. This workshop will engage and equip you with the basics and beyond of how to eat for optimal performance on your own or in the dining halls. Whether it's in academics, athletics, or just feeling everyday awesome good food matters! Let's dive in and enjoy!
Wellness 5K Run/Walk
Join us for the 15th Annual 5K - an event not to miss. The event is 9 am on Saturday, October 7. Free for students. All pre-registered participants receive a tshirt and are entered into a raffle of gift cards to local merchants and Macalester gear. No need to be a world-class runner, this is for fun.
