Matt’s work includes providing administrative support for the Dean of the IGC, administering the Mellon Mays Undergraduate Fellowship (MMUF) and Graduate School Exploration Fellowship (GSEF) grants, supervising the IGC student worker team, managing the content on the IGC web page, being the point person for reservations in the Lower Level of Markim Hall, general Markim Hall building management, processing reimbursements and other financial needs, planning and supporting events throughout the year, and anything else that helps further the mission and purpose of the Institute for Global Citizenship.

Matt started at Macalester in the Fall of 2016 after spending the previous four years living in Germany. He has a history of working in higher educations and non-profit organizations and has a passion for helping students discover and achieve their goals. He was raised in the Twin Cities before moving to Georgia, where he attended the University of Georgia and remains a loyal and proud ‘Dawg. He received his Masters in Educational Leadership from St. Mary’s University of Minnesota in December 2018. Matt enjoys spending time with his family, going to sports and music events, playing golf, and continually learning.
