As academic technologists, we support a wide range of technologies and goals. The tools below represent a selection of those we use most often and those we get the most questions about. This list isn’t comprehensive, but we will work to update it as our recommendations change.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Knight Lab is a collaborative community at Northwestern University that has created several innovative open-source tools for media makers. These tools, including the popular Timeline.js, are focused on storytelling and sharing information in creative and effective ways.<\/p>\n \n

\n \n ArcGIS StoryMaps\n <\/a>\n \n <\/h3>\n

StoryMaps is a web-based platform developed by ArcGIS to share longform digital stories, with a focus on including maps and other types of interactive media. Students, faculty, and staff have access to StoryMaps through Macalester.<\/p>\n \n
