In their final semesters at Macalester, students are thinking about the many transitions that are ahead. We hope to provide resources that guides that transition while aiming to help seniors connect, reflect, and celebrate their accomplishments.

Each class year has a class night at the start of each semester, hosted by a different department on campus, that creates a unique space for classmates to catch up with each other. The fall senior class night is traditionally an ice cream social where seniors also receive a class mug; the spring senior class night traditionally includes a special address from the college president.
Each year, Advancement gifts each senior with a sweatshirt specially embroidered with the Macalester shield and their class year. This tradition reflects the thousands of threads we weave together during our Macalester experiences that expand across space and time. On Senior Sweatshirt Day, seniors pick up their sweatshirts and learn more about the resources and programming available in the Spring semester. They leave knowing that they are part of a large alumni community that cares about them.
Finals are done and seniors are ready to make one final journey toward graduation. Senior Week (Sponsored by Campus Center Programs and Services) is a week of events hosted to encourage and engage the Senior Class one last time. This tradition celebrates the accomplishments of the graduating class. Events are for Seniors and invited guests only. Some events require the purchase of a ticket to attend.
