Student Leadership Applications 2022

OSLE’s 2020/2021 Student Leadership Needs Assessment suggested students experience Macalester’s leadership landscape as decentralized and sometimes confusing to navigate. To help address this concern, OSLE and Residential Life collaborated to pilot this shared timeline for student leader hiring. Given students often apply to various roles and find it challenging to juggle timelines and details, we believe it is a priority to streamline this experience for students and consolidate information. We plan to expand this initiative to include more campus-wide student leadership opportunities and, ideally, establish a common application in future years.

Selection Timeline for Participating Opportunities
  • January 14 – Applications open
  • February 3, 11:30-12:30 pm – Career Exploration Resume Prep Workshop (details below)
  • February 14, 12pm – Applications due 
  • February 17, 5-6 pm – Career Exploration Interview Prep Workshop (details below)
  • March 4 (Estimated) – Candidates notified of offers 
  • March 11 – Acceptance of offers due
