Open Education Week
March 27 2017
What is Open Education Week?
Open Education Week’s goal is to raise awareness about free and open educational resources (OER). OER are written by experts and often peer-reviewed, just like their commercial equivalents. They are also published under an open copyright license so you can retain, reuse, revise, remix, and redistribute them for free. During the week of March 27-31, 2017, events will be held around the world to help spread the word about Open Education.
The DeWitt Wallace Library is actively supporting OER with memberships in SPARC (the Scholarly Publishing and Academic Resources Coalition), Lever Press, the Open Textbook Network, the Open Library of Humanities, and the Open Book Publishers.
