She hosts &#8220;<a href=\"https:\/\/crooked.com\/podcast-series\/with-friends-like-these\/\">With Friends Like These<\/a>,&#8221; a podcast from <a href=\"https:\/\/getcrookedmedia.com\/\">Crooked Media<\/a>, and is the Columbia Journalism Review&#8217;s Public Editor of the Washington Post. She conducted the &#8220;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/column\/magazine-talk?contentCollection=magazine&amp;action=click&amp;module=NextInCollection&amp;region=Footer&amp;pgtype=article\">Talk<\/a>&#8221; interviews featured in the New York Times Magazine from 2015-17. She was the senior political correspondent for <a href=\"http:\/\/www.mtv.com\/news\/author\/coxam\/\">MTV News<\/a>\u00a0from 2016 until they <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=dQw4w9WgXcQ\">pivoted to video<\/a>. She is on cable news more often than she&#8217;d like, and appears frequently on Real Time with Bill Maher.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\">Since starting the snarky political blog <a href=\"http:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/2004\/09\/26\/magazine\/fear-and-laptops-on-the-campaign-trail.html\">Wonkette<\/a>\u00a0in 2004, she has worked at a bewildering variety of outlets, including Time magazine, GQ, Air America, and The Guardian. Prior to Wonkette, she was an editor at Mother Jones and at the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.theatlantic.com\/technology\/archive\/2016\/03\/suck-webzine\/473853\/\">webzine<\/a>\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/suck.com\/\">Suck.com<\/a>. She is the author of the romantic comedy novel <a href=\"http:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/2006\/01\/08\/books\/review\/08buckley.html\">Dog Days<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\">Ana gained attention in 2008 for being an early, enthusiastic adopter of <a href=\"http:\/\/twitter.com\/anamariecox\">Twitter<\/a> and quickly amassed a following of 1.3 million.
