Created in 2009, this community promotes and models a safer, inclusive community where people of all gender identities are welcome. It serves as a community space for trans, nonbinary, intersex, gender nonconforming, those questioning their gender and/or those who would prefer a living space with an All Gender Restroom. Our community’s goals include empowering, supporting, and valuing personal identity exploration and expression. The All Gender Community, located in Kirk Section 4, includes an All Gender Bathroom and has room for 10 residents (three double suites, a triple suite, and one single room).
Rising sophomores, juniors and seniors may Apply to Live in the All Gender Community in advance of room draw. Each year incoming residents will have the ability to shape this space for their needs. If you are selected to live in the All Gender Community you will be required to attend a community meeting in April where residents discuss and begin to shape their community for the upcoming year.
First-year students wishing to live in all gender spaces or spaces affirming of their genders please contact the Office of Residential Life (firstname.lastname@example.org) or Tegra Myanna (email@example.com) for more information.
If you have any questions or concerns, feel free to Tegra Myanna (firstname.lastname@example.org).
