On Baroque cello and viola da<br>gamba, Maryne is an avid continuo player with Early Music ensembles such as La<br>Grande Bande, Consortium Carissimi, Lyra Baroque Orchestra, and the Bach<br>Society of Minnesota. <br>Dedicated to fostering the next generation of cellists and gamba players, Maryne<br>has a large studio of students out of her home and at the Saint Paul Conservatory<br>of Music. In addition to teaching privately, Maryne coaches weekly viol consort<br>classes and the Baroque ensemble at SPCM. Maryne has taught classes at the<br>Viola da Gamba Society of America\u2019s annual Conclave, a week-long workshop for<br>gamba players from around the world. And she was a 2025-26 Minnesota Public<br>Radio Class Notes Artist, bringing Early Music performances and presentations to<br>K-12 students throughout Greater Minnesota.<br>Maryne studied with Clive Greensmith and Marcy Rosen on modern cello. Her<br>studies in Early Music have been with Julie Elhard and Sarah Cunningham on viola<br>da gamba, and Phoebe Carrai on Baroque cello.
