Marshall GriffithSt. Paul, Minn. – A jazz concert featuring noted pianist Marshall Griffith will be performed at Macalester College on Monday, October 18 at 8 p.m. in the Janet Wallace Fine Arts Center Concert Hall.

Griffith is a pianist and composer who teaches music theory and improvisation at the Cleveland Institute of Music. He will perform several original jazz compositions including a suite titled “Jazz Impressions of Minnesota.” He’ll be joined by Dave Karr on saxophone, Gordon Johnson on bass, and Macalester faculty member Joan Griffith, who directs MacJazz and jazz combos, on guitar.
