Pei-Hsuan Wang ’10, studio art, shares her experience as an artisit at a liberal arts school.

“Don’t just be so focused on art that it’s the only thing you do,” says Pei-Hsuan. “I took American Studies classes and WGSS classes and I really liked them. I get to draw in different ideas from different disciplines and that informs my art pieces.”

She participated in the senior art show at Macalester’s Gallery. Her mural “Orchid and Her Missing Roots” has now been published into a book. She attends the graduate program at Cranbrook Academy of Art in Michigan.
