Reunion 2012 was held June 1-3. Reunion goers enjoyed a weekend of fabulous weather, reconnections, conversations, presentations, live music, and discussions. More than 1,300 alumni and friends attended. Of milestone-year reunion classes, 1962 had the highest percent of classmates attending (41 percent), 2007 the next highest (39 percent), 2002 the third highest (35 percent).
Participants in the Macalester-Knoxville College Exchange Program came to campus for a special reunion for the student-led program that engaged students in the Civil Rights movement. This group’s panel discussion was standing room only, and the group’s reunion was covered the following week in this Star Tribune story.
The best-attended events of Reunion 2012 were the Zero-Waste All-Class Picnic, Breakfast with Brian, Surly Seminar, the Golden Scots Society Luncheon, and Scots Pride Reception.
