Hundreds of students flocked to see 11 a cappella singing ensembles from Mac as well as other Minnesota colleges perform on Oct. 20.
- Basses Wild, an all-male group from the University of Minnesota, sent the audience back to the ’90s with N Sync’s “Bye Bye Bye.”
- St. Olaf’s all-female group Agnes took their first Acappellooza by storm with soulful homages to Nicki Minaj and Beyoncé.
- Carleton’s Accidentals even crooned a Celtic traditional piece called “The Parting Glass.”
The event raised more than $350 for Camden Music School, a North Minneapolis institution offering instrumental and voice lessons to kids. This is the sixth year that the Mac a cappella group the Sirens have planned and organized Acappellooza.
