St. Paul, Minn. – Three Macalester College alumni have become members of the Board of Trustees. They were elected in May and will serve three-year terms.

Edward Donkor, Class of 2004
Edward Donkor is a Principal on the energy investment team with Pine Brook Partners, an investment firm with more than $5 billion of assets under management. He joined Pine Brook in October 2010. He currently represents Pine Brook as a director of Cahill Services, LLC, GR Energy Services Holdings, LLC, La Luna Energy Partners, LP, and Saguaro Resources Ltd.  Before joining Pine Brook, Donkor was with First Reserve Corporation, a global private equity and infrastructure investment firm exclusively focused on energy.  Prior to joining First Reserve in 2006, he was an investment banking analyst in the Global Industrial and Services Group at Credit Suisse. Donkor holds a BA in Economics and Computer Science from Macalester College, where he was elected to Phi Beta Kappa.

D. Christian Koch (Chris) was named President and Chief Operating Officer of Carlisle Companies Inc. in May 2014. Carlisle Companies Inc. is a global diversified company that designs, manufactures and markets products that serve a broad range of markets including commercial roofing, energy, agriculture, mining, construction, aerospace and defense electronics, medical technology, foodservice, healthcare, transportation, general industrial, and auto refinishing. He formerly served as Group President of Carlisle Diversified Products, and as the President of Carlisle Asia Pacific. Before joining Carlisle Companies in 2008, Koch worked for Graco, Inc. in a number of executive positions including Vice President and GM of Asia Pacific, and for the H.B. Fuller Company, where his last role was President and Division Manager of TEC, Inc., a subsidiary of the H.B. Fuller Company. Koch is also a current director of Arctic Cat, Inc. (ACAT-NYSE). Koch earned an MBA from the University of Minnesota – Carlson School of Management, and serves on the Carlson School Board of Overseers.

Annette Mortinson Whaley, Class of 1975
Annette Whaley is a community volunteer and serves on the board of The Friends of the St. Paul Public Library and is president of the Whaley Foundation. She formerly served on the board of Cretin-Derham Hall. She graduated from Macalester with a journalism degree and worked at the St. Paul Pioneer Press newspaper.
