O’n’E , a devised work by Nora Spellane ’16, is based on the Greek myth of Orpheus and Eurydice. O’n’E uses text, physical theatre, dance, and music to create a (re)vision of a story that explores questions of life, death, fulfillment, agency, and courage.
The devised play was directed and crafted by Spellane for her capstone project. “I’ve been viewing this process as the culmination of my studies at Macalester.” When she graduates in the spring, Spellane will head back home to Washington, D.C, to continue her work in theater.
