- Art historian and museum curator Stephanie Cunningham lectured on the importance of art history in African American culture and across the Black diaspora.
- As part of the IGC’s “Global Citizenship in the News” series, two Macalester professors and several students discussed current issues related to refugees entering and living in the United States. Professor Dianna Shandy, Professor Jim Von Geldern, and several students shared their insights. The lecture was titled: “Standing with Refugees: Making a Difference in Volatile Times.”
- Macalester Ceramics invited students, faculty and staff to their bowl-making workshop in the ceramics studio. Volunteers threw, decorated, and glazed bowls.
- After students spent Voluntine’s Day (Saturday, February 11) volunteering in the Twin Cities, the day concluded with a fondue reception accompanied by a lovely serenade in Davis Court.
