A few of last week’s events are highlighted here:

  • The college’s SPEAK! Series featured Leigh Patel on the topic of “Distinct Yet Connected: Identity and Collective in a Settler Society.”
  • A workshop was held in the ceramics studio to support Empty Bowls, a national project to fight hunger. The bowls made will be used at a March reception that includes a meal, and all proceeds will go to organizations that directly address hunger issues locally.
  • The fall dance concert marked the last performance on Macalester’s historic mainstage before construction begins on a new theater and dance building.
