It’s been quite a year at Macalester. Over the past 12 months, we’ve graduated one class and welcomed our largest first-year cohort ever. We’ve launched a $100-million fundraising campaign, The Macalester Moment, along with our Big Questions video series featuring faculty, staff and alumni. We’ve hosted MacArthur- and Pulitzer-winning poets on campus, and we welcomed back former Secretary-General of the United Nations Kofi Annan ’61 in May before mourning his death and reflecting on his legacy later in the year. And as always, we’ve convened students and scholars from around the world to research, learn, and grow.
