ST. PAUL, Minn.<\/strong> \u2014 On Thursday, September 17, Macalester College will host Twin Cities Startup Week on campus for the first time in the event\u2019s thirteen-year history, bringing founders, investors, students and members of the region\u2019s startup community together for a full day of entrepreneurship programming.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The event will take place from 10 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. at Macalester College, with TCB Talks: Minnesota Capital Forum, sponsored by Twin Cities Business magazine, serving as the main event from 2:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. in Mairs Concert Hall. View the full schedule of events<\/a>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The day\u2019s programming offers opportunities for Macalester students, staff and faculty to connect with entrepreneurs, startup leaders, investors and other members of the Twin Cities business community.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cBringing Twin Cities Startup Week to Macalester is an exciting opportunity to connect our campus with the entrepreneurial energy of the region,\u201d says Director of Entrepreneurship & Innovation Allan Martinez Venegas \u201914. \u201cMacalester has a long tradition of bringing people together across disciplines and communities, and this event creates another space for our students, faculty, alumni, and staff to learn from founders and startup leaders who are building what\u2019s next.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The event also reflects Macalester\u2019s growing role in entrepreneurship and innovation in Minnesota. By hosting Twin Cities Startup Week on campus, Macalester aims to position the college as a hub for entrepreneurial exchange and a gathering place for the state\u2019s startup and innovation community.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Twin Cities Startup Week is affiliated with BETA.MN, an organization that supports Minnesota technology startups and founders through resources, networks, and early-stage accelerator programs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cEntrepreneurship thrives when people with different experiences and ideas have opportunities to connect,\u201d says Martinez Venegas. \u201cWe\u2019re excited to welcome the Twin Cities startup ecosystem to Macalester. It gives our students a chance to engage directly with the founders, investors, and builders shaping the future of Minnesota.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Two events not to miss are the Macalester Student Showcase from noon to 1:00 p.m. in the lower level of the Campus Center, and Pitch Demonstrations from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. in John B. Davis Lecture Hall. Students will share their bold ideas, ventures, and projects developed through Entrepreneurship & Innovation programs or hands-on learning opportunities in the Twin Cities community.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
