{"id":3,"date":"2023-10-28T21:30:53","date_gmt":"2023-10-28T21:30:53","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.macalester.edu\/pcce\/?page_id=2"},"modified":"2025-09-19T19:38:26","modified_gmt":"2025-09-19T19:38:26","slug":"sample-page","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/www.macalester.edu\/pcce\/","title":{"rendered":"Presidential Council for College Events"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Council Formed for Campus-Wide Event Oversight<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The Presidential Council for College Events will guide and oversee Macalester\u2019s events strategy to ensure that campus-wide, recurring events of special significance to the college (Commencement, Reunion, Orientation, etc.) are well-coordinated, effective, and run as smoothly as possible. This group will collaborate to ensure event planning and execution are streamlined, sustainable, and equitable.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Council will also evaluate and make recommendations for non-recurring events that don\u2019t meet standard guidelines and protocols, such as requests to waive rental fees, events that include celebrity or political guests and speakers, etc.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Council is not charged with implementing specific events; instead, it serves to put frameworks in place to facilitate successful and replicable events.
