{"id":178,"date":"2017-10-11T06:14:18","date_gmt":"2017-10-11T06:14:18","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.macalester.edu\/160-philosophy\/facultystaff\/dianemichelfelder\/"},"modified":"2023-06-12T00:49:55","modified_gmt":"2023-06-12T00:49:55","slug":"dianemichelfelder","status":"publish","type":"profile","link":"https:\/\/www.macalester.edu\/philosophy\/facultystaff\/dianemichelfelder\/","title":{"rendered":"Diane Michelfelder"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Much of Professor Michelfelder\u2019s teaching and research has developed at the intersection of \u00a0movements in 20<sup>th<\/sup> century European philosophy, particularly phenomenology, with the philosophy of technology. <em>\u00a0<\/em>A special focus of her work is on ethical issues related to Internet-embedded design, ranging from individual technologies such as the Echo\/Alexa to the \u201csmart\u201d city.
