Her research is dedicated to the philosophical study of mental disorders and the insights it can give us into human agency and the self. Dr. Evans will teach a range of courses on these topics, including Philosophy of Psychiatry, Philosophy of Mind, and a future course on the philosophy of addiction. She grew up in St. Paul, Minnesota, and holds a PhD in philosophy from the University of Texas at Austin and a BA in philosophy from the University of Notre Dame.
