AforS is a small nonprofit founded in the 1980s and focused on finding sustainability solutions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I spent a good portion of my time helping the organization to stay organized by creating a more efficient and effective communication method. Because AforS is a small nonprofit, I had to be open to working with various projects. Some of my focus was: website maintenance, administration, curriculum development, social media, grant writing, partnership, and policy research.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I was glad to spend the summer navigating and learning new skills to help foster a successful nonprofit. Although the work might\u2019ve seemed mundane and not rewarding, I was happy to gain a new outlook on nonprofit management through a closer perspective.
