This program aims to fight hunger and childhood obesity using federal funding and Open Arms\u2019 expertise in the field of nutrition. Currently, the need for healthy and culturally sensitive meals in the summer months is not being met by current USDA- sponsors in Minnesota. The Children Summer Meals program is an opportunity for Open Arms to support the community surrounding their new kitchen in the Minneapolis\u2019 Phillips neighborhood.
