Special appointment faculty at Macalester are a diverse group that includes visiting faculty, post-docs, faculty in the NTT series, and staff who teach. These categories are also referred to using the general term adjuncts<\/em>. Some teach at the college for just a semester, others teach here for many years. Some are full time, others teach one course a year.
