A Macalester alumnus, he transferred to the College in 1990 and graduated in 1992 with a B.A. in Mathematics and Computer Science. Jeff has been part of the Macalester community for more than three decades\u2014as a student, alumnus, volunteer, and staff member. He served on the Macalester Alumni Board of Directors from 1993 to 1999, first as a student representative and later as an alumni representative. As a student, alumnus, volunteer, and employee, Jeff has enjoyed being part of the Macalester community for more than 35 years and helping make it an even better place for current and future students.<\/p>\n<p class=\"isSelectedEnd\">Jeff joined Macalester&#8217;s Information Technology Services (ITS) department in 2006 before moving to the Psychology Department in 2023. He enjoys finding ways to make the department welcoming and sustainable. Whether he&#8217;s organizing student events, supporting faculty and students, or solving the occasional technology challenge, Jeff enjoys helping people and creating a strong sense of community within the department.<\/p>\n<p>Outside of work, Jeff enjoys spending time with his wife, Sarah Wovcha (&#8217;89), and their three children. Their youngest is taking a gap year before enrolling at Carleton College, their middle child is a junior at Carleton, and their oldest lives and works in Chicago.
