Rev. Kelly J. Stone

The Reverend Kelly J. Stone is the Chaplain at Macalester College, in this capacity, she provides vision and direction for the Center for Religious and Spiritual Life at Macalester College.  She believes that meaningful multifaith experiences in the college years have the capacity to be informative, sustaining and transformative.  She seeks to create space for students to explore the depth of individual faith traditions and discover the beauty of a deeply interconnected multifaith community.  Creative liturgy, vocational exploration and creating connections are a regular part of her ministry at Macalester.   Previously, Rev. Stone served as Chaplain at Wellesley College (Wellesley, MA) and Lakeland College (Sheboygan, WI).  She is an active member in her profession and is a member of working groups that contribute regularly to the discourse about the evolving role of college chaplains.  Rev. Stone resides in St. Paul with her partner, John, and two young children.  She is an ordained pastor in the United Church of Christ.
