Special Interest Communities
Special Interest Communities provide a learning experience and opportunity to connect in small communities beyond the classroom. Residents in a Special Interest house with a full kitchen are not required to enroll in a dining plan but have the option to do so. Rising sophomores, rising juniors, and rising seniors may apply to various departments during the month of February and are selected before the campus wide Room Draw season. Rosters for the 2016-2017 academic year will be completed and submitted to Residential Life by March 8, 2016. The room cost for specialty houses and areas, except the Eco House, is $3110 per semester and $6220 per academic year. The room cost for the Eco House is $3010 per semester; $6020 per academic year.
