{"id":1131,"date":"2021-07-28T22:32:52","date_gmt":"2021-07-28T22:32:52","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.macalester.edu\/160-serie-center\/?page_id=1131"},"modified":"2025-12-25T13:26:31","modified_gmt":"2025-12-25T13:26:31","slug":"anti-racist-pedagogy","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/www.macalester.edu\/serie-center\/anti-racist-pedagogy\/","title":{"rendered":"Anti-racist Pedagogy"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The global uprising against anti-Blackness, racism, and white supremacy following the Minneapolis police murder of George Floyd in May of 2020 &#8211; not 10 miles from Macalester &#8211; demanded (once again) that colleges and universities, including Macalester, <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/2019\/05\/23\/us\/task-force-university-racism.html\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">reckon with our past<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">, be honest about our present, and <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.chronicle.com\/article\/The-Coming-Campus-Protests\/248967\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">offer more than words and promises for our future<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">.
