Open Educational Resources (OER) can support our collective efforts to prioritize equity, affordability, and environmental sustainability. OER refers to teaching, learning, and research resources, such as “open textbooks,” that are free of cost and access barriers, and that carry legal permission for open reuse, distribution, and revision. OER can be integrated into open pedagogy teaching and learning practices with a goal of minimizing barriers to engagement, demonstrating understanding through collaborative and renewable assignments, and building communities of people committed to the co-creation of knowledge.

Our Library hosts an excellent Open Educational Resources toolkit page that can help you find open textbooks and implement open pedagogy practices.
