Where did you grow up?
Zhengzhou, China & Newton, Iowa

What are your main responsibilities?
As the Assistant Dean for Residential Life, I am responsible for providing oversight for the development, implementation, and assessment of a vibrant and holistic residential life program, with particular attention given to the development of an intentional, developmental program that supports students in their transitions in the first and second years. In collaboration with key campus partners, I lead the development of a robust and comprehensive first year and sophomore year experience.

What do you love most about Mac?
Mac is a diverse place and I love the fact that students believe they will make a positive impact in the world. College is about learning, growth and reflection, and I am excited to work with a student population that is intellectually and socially engaged. I also enjoy working with a talented and committed team of staff, who work very hard to contribute to our students’ learning and overall experience at Mac.

What is your favorite hobby?
Reading good books, watching Ted Talk, reflecting on important issues, and enjoying food.
