Macalester College’s Student Employment Program exists to provide employment opportunities that offer students both financial assistance and professional development.<\/p>\n \t \t

The Program affords students the opportunity to build skills for career readiness while focusing on coursework in addition to providing a talented workforce for the College.<\/p>\n \t \t

Macalester employs nearly 1,300 students in over 200 different positions each academic year. Students are able to gain experience in a variety of areas, from facility management to tutoring to office work.<\/p>\n \t \t

The Macalester Undergraduate Worker Union- UAW is the exclusive representative of student employees who are members of the bargaining unit and has the sole authority to negotiate with Macalester over terms and conditions of employment, such as wages, hours, and terms and conditions of work. <\/p>\n \t <\/div>\n<\/section>\n\n
