Discussions in EPAG resolve around concentrations, study abroad, majors\/minors, and general education requirements. Student representatives engage in discussion, assist the faculty with projects and provide student input. One student representative will be appointed as a Student Representative to the Board of Trustees Academic Affairs Committee. <strong>EPAG meets at a fixed time every Thursday from 3:00pm to 4:30pm.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Committee Contact: <\/strong>Mario Solis-Garcia<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>2024-2025 Members:<\/strong> Tristan Niedzielski, AAC Chair and Anna Xochitl Settels Palacios<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Board of Trustees Representative(s): <\/strong>Anna Xochitl Settels Palacios (There is one seat for Board of Trustee representatives in this committee)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Number of Seats: <\/strong>2<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\" \/>\n\n\n\n<p><a class=\"more\" href=\"https:\/\/www.macalester.edu\/honorarydegree\/\"><strong>Honorary Degree Committee<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Honorary Degree Committee considers nominations, and makes recommendations to the faculty and the Board of Trustees for the awarding of honorary degrees.<strong> The committee generally meets once per semester.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Committee Contact:<\/strong> Ann Kraker, Executive Assistant to the Provost<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>2024-2025 Members:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Number of Seats: <\/strong>1<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\" \/>\n\n\n\n<p><a class=\"more\" href=\"https:\/\/www.macalester.edu\/spa\/\"><strong>Strategic Planning and Analysis Committee (SPA)<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Strategic Planning and Analysis Committee acts as an advisory committee to the President regarding the college\u2019s strategic planning priorities. The committee will monitor progress and develop recommendations to move forward on strategic goals. Student representatives engage in discussion, assist the faculty with projects and provide student input.
