We strive to ensure that study away experiences are accessible to all students and reflect the core values of Macalester College \u2013 scholarship, internationalism, multiculturalism, and service to society.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\" \/>\n\n\n\n<p>We pursue our mission by:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Maintaining an approved list of high-quality study away programs, including administering Macalester-run programs and exchanges with international partners.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Advising students to make informed decisions about choosing to study away and selecting a program; we encourage them to reflect on their goals (academic, professional, and personal) and how to integrate study away into their Macalester education; we provide resources on opportunities and considerations throughout the process.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Prioritizing a student-centered approach to programming and support during the study away lifecycle, from the application phase, to pre-departure preparation, to on-site guidance, and finally to post-program returnee reflection and community-building.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Collaborating with the college administration, faculty, and academic departments, campus offices, and units, and study away organizations and off-campus partners.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Our Mission We support intellectual and cultural engagement through study away, as an enduring part of a liberal arts education.
