Markim Hall, 204
My main duties at the International Center are providing administrative and clerical support to the overall International Center mission and supervising student workers.
A native of Latvia, I have lived in the United States since 2002. I received a B.S. in Pedagogy from Latvia University. Most of my previous employment has been in the field of education; I was a teacher of Latvian language and literature for K 5-12 students. For five years I worked for the US Peace Corps program in Latvia in the capacities of language teacher, language program coordinator, resource center manager, and program manager. For nearly three years I worked for Meld, a national not-for-profit organization that provides resources for parents.
As parent of two bi-lingual children, I participate in the activities of Latvian Saturday school, and this year is serving as a co-principal of the school.
