They were born in Germany but spent the majority of their life in small town Alabama (Roll Tide!) They\u2019ve always loved writing and experimenting with putting common life experiences into poetic wording, and this year is the first time in a long time they found the courage to share their work with others. <\/span>playing softly in the restaurant

<\/span>you pick up <\/span>juuust enough
<\/span><\/i>to get the bass
<\/span>not enough to remember the lyrics, but
<\/span>that warm, bubbly feeling still rises in your gut
<\/span>and you smile a bit as the memories come
<\/span>flooding in <\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n
<\/span>as if it\u2019s a scene from your favorite movie
<\/span>that you rewind over
<\/span>and over
<\/span>and over
<\/span>Again. <\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n
<\/span>or a hug a well-worn hoodie
<\/span>When home is not just in a person
<\/span>or a place
<\/span>but also a moment in time. <\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n
<\/span>They feel nostalgic too. <\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n <\/h4>\n\n\n\n
Golden Hour<\/b> <\/span><\/h4>\n\n\n\n
<\/span>When you could see what honey would look like
<\/span>If it was drizzled over a building
<\/span>Or the Great Lawn?
<\/span>When every person looks a bit sweeter
<\/span>Than usual
<\/span>And their faces glow in a way
<\/span>Only genuine smiles
<\/span>Could copy.
<\/span>Dusts of pollen sprinkled in the air
<\/span>And onto the hair
<\/span>Of the people around you
<\/span>And your furry friend
